Another HQA fintech proposal has been approved by the University of the Algarve.

The investor-entrepreneur is the latest from a restricted nation to be accepted into the HQA program, qualifying him for residency while borders remain otherwise closed to nationals from his country of origin.

The proposed venture aims to offer a state-of-the-art angel investor-startup matching marketplace. Research conducted at the University of the Algarve will provide the venture’s foundational IP.

With strong connections to Africa, South America, and Asia, Portugal’s fintech startup ecosystem shows tremendous promise.
